Welcome! This page contains important information about your rights as a client, how your personal and health information is protected, and how to contact licensing authorities if needed. My goal is to be transparent and make it easy for you to access these documents.
1. Licensing & Complaints
I am licensed in the state of Texas (License #66057, Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor) and regulated by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC). 2. Requesting Your Records
Clients have the right to request access to their health records. Requests can be made via email (jenniferalley@
austincounselors.org). A reasonable fee may be charged to cover copying, supplies, and postage if applicable. You will always be notified of any fees before records are produced. Please note: Your records are clinical documents and may include professional observations or notes that could be confusing or distressing without clinical context. If you’re considering requesting your records, I’m happy to discuss them with you so you can review the information with support.

Requests are usually processed within 15 business days; in some cases, HIPAA allows up to 30 days, and you will be notified if more time is needed
3. Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA)
My practice follows HIPAA regulations to protect your personal and health information. The Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) explains how your information may be used, stored, and shared, as well as your rights regarding your health records.

You will receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for therapy sessions at the beginning of our work together. This estimate helps you understand costs upfront and avoid surprises.
